Surging Sea I

About

First of the “Surging Sea” paintings. In this one we can see the different applications of the dots-and-dashes style of painting to create contrast and the illusion of realism. One can see how the dots-and-dashes were applied to render the clouds, but they are blended out to appear fluffy. The sea, however, is made of unblended dots-and-dashes to mimic the textured “surging” surface of the water.
