Second painting in the “WaterFire” series. The flames of the festival are so bright they are near-white. Their reflections are like long tails on the canal’s surface. This scene takes place later at night than the first in the series. Perhaps it is after or near the end of the show. The buildings’ lights are lit up far more and the contrast makes them almost as dark as the water.
